The Jötnar, often called Frost Giants, are ancient beings from Norse mythology born from the primal chaos that existed before the world itself. Towering over gods and mortals alike, they embodied the untamed forces of nature including frost, fire, mountains, and storms. Though many were enemies of the gods of Asgard, the Jötnar were not simply mindless monsters. Some possessed immense wisdom and ancient knowledge older than the heavens themselves. Their conflicts with the gods shaped the fate of the cosmos and would one day culminate in Ragnarök, the end of the world.
